Hope & Justice in Art Project 2024

About the Hope & Justice in Art Project: The Responsible Business Initiative for Justice is an award-winning international nonprofit that works with companies to champion solutions that promote public safety, deliver justice, and strengthen communities. In partnership with justice leaders and the business community, we work to reform justice systems, restore communities, and reframe narratives. Since 2020, RBIJ has commissioned an artist from the justice-impacted community to produce a piece of art to be displayed on our annual holiday card. We are proud to continue with that tradition this year!

To apply, please submit your application to this form before August 31, 2024.

Theme of Artwork: Hope and Justice. What does hope mean to you? What does justice mean to you? Do the two concepts intersect, and if so, what does that look like?

Type or Medium of Artwork: Original piece in your preferred medium, that can be digitized or scanned and sent by email (PNG, JPEG, PDF) to the RBIJ team. The artwork does not need to be produced for this opportunity, but must be the original art of the submitting artist.

Compensation: RBIJ will pay $300 for the artwork and can transfer the funds to the artist’s preferred account (even if incarcerated) after the art is completed and submitted.

Credit and Publicity: The artist will be publicly credited for their art, which will appear in our electronic card e-mailed to our partners, on our website, on our social media channels, and on some physical cards that will be printed. In early January 2025, RBIJ will inform the commissioned artist the reach of their artwork. For example: how many physical cards were mailed and the reach of the digital card.
