RBIJ Releases Recommendations to the Trump-Vance Administration

As President-elect Donald J. Trump prepares to assume office in the new year, we hope his administration will consider the many opportunities that exist to advance greater fairness and justice across the country in partnership with the business community.

RBIJ works with a network of more than 600 companies (and counting) to foster a justice system that works for everyone and provides people with the fair chances they deserve. To ensure our recommendations are grounded in the views of the diverse businesses — and their leaders — in our network, RBIJ sought input from key business partners on the issues that affect them most. Their insights helped inform our recommendations and, as such, their perspectives are woven into this document.

RBIJ recommends that the Trump-Vance administration build on past efforts to remove barriers to reentry, promote economic prosperity, and expand opportunities for all and consider activity to:

  1. Prioritize Successful Reentry for Justice-Impacted Individuals

  2. Help Create Fairer Justice Systems, and

  3. Eliminate Disparities in the Federal Justice System

The Federal government has the power to help create a more just and fair future. Together, we can ensure that our country lives up to the promise of equal justice for all.
